Mary Ann's Story
Hi fellow classmates, I am so happy to see that there are still a fair number of still alive and kicking at 80 years or close to it. Hopefully you have been blessed with happy lives and are currently in relatively healthy states. We certainly all have some nicks and bruises from so many years removed from 1954, but you must admit--we are survivors or we wouldn't still be here.

Club. I tried out for a play, but when the audition necessitated kneeling before Bob Durnbaugh and emoting, "I love you!," I about died of embarrassment and opted out of the whole scene.
I became a registered nurse in the three years post high school, then spent a year-and-a-half at a Bible school with plans to become a missionary nurse. That was where I met and married a man from Illinois, had five children, divorced in 1975. Lived in several states, working as a nurse some 35 years and medical transcriptionist later. Online romance with a man in Pennsylvania in 1994, moving from Denver, CO to marry John Young. We were married 17 years until he passed away after a long illness in 2011. I have been living with my oldest daughter in South Florida since then.
